P.A.T.C.H. Graduation

Hello visitors and returning viewers!

As some of you know, I was asked to photograph the P.A.T.C.H. homeschool high school graduation. I was extremely honored and very excited! I'd taken photos at many an event, but had never been officially asked to take on such a task. Peter from Snap of the Shutter was last year’s graduation photographer, but this year he was unable to take the photos.… because he was graduating! :D

These photos are set up differently than my typical blog posts; my flickr account is linked to this post instead of having each photo posted individually. You can view them in a slideshow layout below or click here for the set. In each photo's description (in the set) I've included a download link. I would be happy for you to share downloaded photos through multimedia websites and blogs, but please note all my photos are Copyright Emily Yvonne Photography and should be treated as such when posted on the web. Thanks.

Enjoy! =)

Created with flickr slideshow.

To each and every one of you: Congratulations!! May God bless your journey through this new chapter of your life.

To my best friends ever,

Grace - I love you sis, and I look forward to seeing where God leads you next. Thanks for always being there for me. <3 Never forget F.R.O.G. ---> Fully Rely On God.

Peter - Your photography is inspiring, your encouragement and advice are always appreciated. Can't wait to see where God leads you next. Keep your eye behind that viewfinder!

Blessings!!
~Emily

Best Experience Ever

So the lead singer of your MOST FAVORITE BAND EVER trips over your camera bag. Not something that happens every day.

Yes... my favorite band's lead singer tripped over my camera bag. x-) He walked through the crowd at one point in the concert - right next to us! hehehe. When he stumbled over my camera bag my telephoto lens rolled out! ;D But do not be alarmed, for it was not harmed (thanks to my mom who noticed it and put it back in my bag before it got trampled and lost in the crowd;)

So, on December 7th 2011, I had the fantastic opportunity of riding with my parents and four extremely fun people: Mrs. S., Aaron S. and Clay and Evan W.; to Nashville Tennessee for a Switchfoot concert!!!

Oh my GOODNESS it was so exciting!!!!!! They put on a SPECTACULAR show. They really did! They all sounded wonderful on stage. Not all music artists sound great live! ;D Switchfoot.... did.

I know some of you are not Switchfoot fans... and that's okay. There are things you like that I don't. We're all different! But I do ask you to look through the pictures I took at the concert and let me know what you think. I was extremely excited with the way most of them turned out! I certainly wouldn't mind any concert photography suggestions you might have!

Here are a few of my favorites. :)

I like shots like this. =)

Lights + Mist + Jon Foreman = pretty cool picture.

Kind of a cool shot.

 ...and the crowd goes wild!

I was super excited about the quality of this one, telephoto lens and all. It's so clear!

I couldn't decide between this one and the one prior. Which one do you like best between the two? I kinda like the purple in the second one.

 He. Walked. Right. By. Us.

Everyone pulled out their phones after he got back on stage. xD ...excccccept for those of us without phones of course. ;)

Jon Foreman and Tim Foreman have such contagious smiles!!! They are both really kind and personable.

I loved the lights. They were fantastic and really made some of the pictures.

 Silhouettes are so fun.

 The strobe lights were awesome.

The grand finale.

Left to right: Tim Foreman, Chad Butler, Jon Foreman, Jerome Fontamillas and Drew Shirley.

It really was the best concert experience I've ever had. I hope to see them again! I was disappointed they didn't have an aftershow..... really disappointed. =P But I was so happy to BE there, the disappointment wore off rather quickly. ;) I took my guitar for Jon Foreman to sign - that would have been so. very. awesome. And my autograph book, and Switchfoot t.shirt, and concert ticket, and, and... Oh well. :)

My complete Switchfoot concert album will be available soon! I had fun taking the pictures, I hope you enjoyed looking at them just as much! =) Let me know what you think of them!

Soli Deo Gloria!
