P.A.T.C.H. Graduation

Hello visitors and returning viewers!

As some of you know, I was asked to photograph the P.A.T.C.H. homeschool high school graduation. I was extremely honored and very excited! I'd taken photos at many an event, but had never been officially asked to take on such a task. Peter from Snap of the Shutter was last year’s graduation photographer, but this year he was unable to take the photos.… because he was graduating! :D

These photos are set up differently than my typical blog posts; my flickr account is linked to this post instead of having each photo posted individually. You can view them in a slideshow layout below or click here for the set. In each photo's description (in the set) I've included a download link. I would be happy for you to share downloaded photos through multimedia websites and blogs, but please note all my photos are Copyright Emily Yvonne Photography and should be treated as such when posted on the web. Thanks.

Enjoy! =)

Created with flickr slideshow.

Front row left to right: Jessica Heath and Grace Silverstein

To each and every one of you: Congratulations!! May God bless your journey through this new chapter of your life.

To my best friends ever,

Grace - I love you sis, and I look forward to seeing where God leads you next. Thanks for always being there for me. <3 Never forget F.R.O.G. ---> Fully Rely On God.

Peter - Your photography is inspiring, your encouragement and advice are always appreciated. Can't wait to see where God leads you next. Keep your eye behind that viewfinder!

Blessings!!

Yesterdays

One year ago, today, our dear friend, Bobbi, passed away. I miss her very much. She was a blessing to all who knew her and continues to be a blessing through the legacy she left. She was a very special friend to my mother. She was someone you could just be yourself around. She always had a smile and laughed often. :) Her confidence, joy and faith in Christ was what made her such a beautiful person. Her joy was simply contagious. I smile when I think of her and am happy to know she is in a better place. <3 Several months before she passed away, during her prolonged illness, mom and I would go to their house every Tuesday for tea and a snack while mom read aloud from the book, Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss. What special memories.

You may be wondering why I've titled this post "Yesterdays"... it's because I'm reminded of Bobbi every time I hear the song Yesterdays by Switchfoot. I've included the song in this post so you can listen to it while you read the rest of this post and look at the pictures.

Her husband, Mike, daughter, Jerusha and sons, Jeremiah and Jonathan remain very dear friends of ours.

Mike and Bobbi

One day after church it was raining lightly and Bobbi took her children
outside to dance in the rain. <3

Bobbi's motto:

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass,
It's about learning to dance in the rain.

This photo only captures half of the funeral procession. Bobbi was loved. <3

We often go to their house and 'grill out.' :) We spent some time with them last evening. <3

We miss you Bobbi.
